“Why can’t you speak in spanish to me? are you too cool to speak it? are you ashame of your heritage? Do you not like hispanic? what is wrong with you?” No, you dumbass, I won’t engage in an exchange that utilizes spanish- or any other language for that matter- if I am surrounded by people that do not know that language, it is FREAKING RUDE!!! when will people understand that? I guess it wasn’t enough that I responded to every single one of your questions. I’d understand if you didn’t speak english and you specifically asked for a spanish-speaking associate to help you, but you didn’t, furthermore your english was better than mine, in fact, I bet you were born here you freaking t-at waffle.
Am I a ratialist? is it cuz I iz black? booyakasha!!!
@dizkodan apparently I get to drive to the leesburg home depot to pick up some tiles….u s and A
Friday afternoon I had beers and chicken wings with my boy DizkoDan. The wing factory makes some tasty chicken wings. Afterwards I believe, if I recall correctly, we went to a new vegetarian Indian restaurant for dinner. It never ceases to surprise me just how long I refused to eat Indian food based on the assumption that “anything Indian” had curry in it, I hate curry, and just how wrong I was.
Saturday, I headed over to DizkoDan’s house around 8 am, a lot later than I had anticipated due to my inability to fall asleep the night before. I arrived at DizkoDan’s house and after a few minutes we went to Home Depot to get about 25 bags of mulch, his yard needed the addition of new mulch in some spots. While pulling weeds from the surroundings of his peach tree I mentioned that perhaps he ought to get some weedblock and lay it down around the tree. He agreed but he said he was just “too lazy” to do it and if he were going to go through the trouble of it, he might as well built the retaining wall he had been meaning to built since last year. I believe my answer went something like “let’s go, we aint got nothing to do”. Punque, DizkoDan’s wife, wanted to come along to help pick out the stone, so we all got in their SUV and drove to the nursery and then back to Home Depot to check out pricing and availability of stone. Punque settle for something that matched what the slate she already had in her stair that leads from her house to her garage.
The stone for the retaining wall was purchased at the nursery by their house. There were two memorable things at the nursery a) a patio statue of a pig that appeared to be inviting people to poke him in the butt b) the look and reaction from the people in the nursery when we told them we were going to upload the stones in just one trip, by hand, into a 2008 pathfinder. Punque was nice enough to help load the stones into the vehicle, but she had lots of errands to run as soon as we made it home. Punque, once again demonstrated her awesomness when she went to get us food before running around and getting her errands done.
Roughly 6 hours and some beers later the retaining wall, mulching and weedblock was completed. Punque took pictures and she was content with the results.
DizkoDan’s neighbors came over for dinner, margaritas were had, I ended up drizunk. PS: I shouldn’t drink that much tequila in one sitting, or ever for that matter.
Sunday, we went to get breakfast and then to the outlet mall. I wanted to go to the outlet mall in Leesburg to get some shorts but nothing was the right price for the ridiculous designs they had. We ended up getting shoes instead, tmt man. Later on that Sunday DizkoDan and I went for a short but rather enjoyable bike ride, roughly about 8 miles. After the bike ride we headed out to Nissan Pavillion to see Motley Crue. I had high expectations and had it not been for the shennanigans that were executed prior to the concert I would’ve been even more dissapointed. PS: Dont leave an empty cooler outside your car, you might find massive amounts of empty beer and vodka bottles when you get back to it. OH yeah Vince Neil is a tool.
This week is blah, but I am starting to get too bored too quickly. Normal people do not get this bored as easily, I might need psychological help.
I went jogging last night because I was bored, 7 miles and nearly 1:30hr later I was back at home, still bored but this time I was armed with a tuna sandwhich and wonton soup. I couldnt sleep until 2pm and I was up by 5am….fun times.
Because I was hella bored earlier today, I rode “my” bike, it was relaxing. I have to admit that it was a totally different experience. This bike, while still a hardtail, has a much nicer fork/front suspension than my older bike, has mechanical disc brakes, and much fatter tires, and it only has 8 gears! Yes, I said 8 gears!! not 18, not 21, not 24, not 27, but 8 gears. There really wasnt much of a difference other than the “unnatural” feeling of not having as many gears at my disposal, the actual amount of effort I had to put into pedaling was about the same. It was definately interesting, specially when I realized that one of the reasons I wasn’t moving as fast as I’d liked to was because my seat was way too low.
According to my Polar hrm I rode for 1 3/4 hours and 1000 calories later, I was back at home. I need bigger hills so that I can get my heart rate higher and I can burn more calories.
I took a 2 hour nap earlier, I was fighting it the entire time, but I decided not to fight it in the end, I cannot sleep now. I should’ve gone bike riding then.
First I’d like to thank T-bone ‘Rican Bantung for letting me borrow his bike. I’d also like to thank his wife, Dawn, for some delicious cupcakes.
I am sitting here contemplating just how badly is going to rain later today and just how much I need to get my rain jacket back. I should’ve taken it when I had the chance. I do own a newer rain jacket but it is a reversible rain jacket that features fleece on one side. Fleece works wonders in the winter months, however it does not make for a good fabric for the hot, and humde days of summer.
My cousin came to my house at around midnight last night. I hope he arrived to his home in one piece.
I went to bed at 2am, I was up by 5:30am. I was awoken in the middle of my sleep by a text message, I hope she has explosive bowel movements later.
I need Polar bike attachments.
I went to sleep at around midnight and for some reason I woke up around 2am, and I was having such a nice sleep, go figure. After looking around in the int3rW3bz I realized that I wouldn’t go back to sleep no matter what. I stayed up reading and browsing the net until roughly 7:45am
I decided that sitting around wouldn’t do anything for me, I might as well go outside and try to do something. I found my weighted vest and I went for a walk, which rapidly turn into jogging, I cannot stand doing things at that slow pace when I haven’t had enough sleep. I realized something today, I still hate jogging, however I hate it even more when I have an extra 25 pounds riding on my back, yes the vest weight roughly 21 pounds and I was carrying some water as well.
On the bright side of things, I did manage to find my foot pod for my polar s625x! I forgot to calibrate it, but it is accurate enough nonetheless. I also managed to get a replacement weighted vest, mine had a broken latch-the latch helped to strap the vest on and kept the weight evenly distributed- from Walmartssss. I’d be the first one to tell you that I hate Walmartsss and I never thought that writting an email to complain-in a very nice manner- about a product bought less than a year ago would actually get a reply. I sent the email on a thursday and by sunday morning I got a phone call from my local walmartsss and I was told to come in and exchange the item. I was pleasantly surprised.
Since my email to walmartss worked so well, I have since then decided to write Polar and request that they replace my watch wristband for free. The little rubber piece-the guy at the shop called it the “keeper”- split in half sometime last year. I have no problem buying a new one, however I dont believe that after shelling out something in the neighborhood over $400 for it that any part of that unit should fail that quickly. I am now patiently waiting for a reply, I don’t really expect one but we’ll see.
I cannot wait to get off work, if the weather is kind I might go for a bike ride. I wonder how much I’d hate the vest if I wear it while riding a bike. I miss Katie, she was my biking buddy, too bad she moved to Miami.
I just looked at my shoes and realized that I am wearing two different shoes!!! they sort of look alike, however they are from two different manufacturers. I am wearing one shoe from Avia, and one shoe from New Balance. There is somethign to be said about not caring about how you look when you leave your house, I have reached a new level or uncaring. I just cannot understand why my coworkers care more about this little “incident” than I do, I am the one wearing the shoes after all, people are too funny and ridiculous sometimes.
Who would’ve thought that frying pork would take so long, the chicharron is taking way too long, moving on to plan b. I guess my family will have to settle for chorizo and eggs breakfast rather than chicharron…Suckage.
I moved 20 gigs of mp3’s from my ipod to my computer, 15 minutes later I realize that the tracks did move but there is no rhyme or reason to them, I’ll have to reorganize my music folder from scratch.
I wonder what my parents are doing in Germany right now. I am sure they are having a great time enjoying the little time they have to spend with their first grandchild, I wish I were there to see it all.
